Fear X Loathing is a multifunctional space in the heart of Sheffield city centre, encompassing arts, performance, food & drink. Following renovation, it was voted ‘No.1 Restaurant in Sheffield (Trip Advisor Dec 2016 – Jan 2017).
Here, I designed strategy to revamp this site to deliver a premier casual dining restaurant, arts and events space. I delivered end-to-end project management of the renovation from creating project blueprint to onboarding contractors and external consultants to project close out while guaranteeing Health & Safety and full compliance with HSE guidelines as well as licensing law and UK regulations. Ensuring all contractor activity aligned with design brief and project roadmap, I reviewed project performance, ensuring delivery of milestones and addressing any underperformance.
Working with venue senior management, I brainstormed strategies to develop new revenue generation initiatives. I also I established robust financial controls, including POS systems, supplier purchase agreements and credit terms and led a multidisciplinary team ensuring delivery of professional development team-wide to ensure healthy leadership pipeline.
