I was responsible for growing the contributor network in Europe. I recruited 400 writers over 9 months across 28 countries, was responsible for building the Forbes brand and managed the set up of the London bureau. I project managed the programming for the Forbes 30 Under 30 Amsterdam event for list makers and attendees (600), produced and launched the ‘Winning At Work’ podcast and managed our internship programme and freelancers. I built and managed the editorial team in Europe liaising with stakeholders on editorial planning and delivery on a daily basis. I commissioned global stories across written content and edited the Europe and U.S. homepages. I delivered quarterly contributor events and pitched the contributor model to external stakeholders.
I oversaw the strategic planning and implementation of commercial projects. I was responsible for developing integrated media strategies, identifying new business opportunities and running an editorial team. I produced a podcast series sponsored by Barclays Bank, running successful campaigns with Starling, Vero and London and Partners and ensured they were fully integrated. I developed and enhanced the commercial strategy for the company, established and supported partnerships with leading UK based start-ups (Starling, PensionBee) and delivered first class service to our clients. Established promotion and campaign performance benchmarks, and recommended actions to improve turnover and growing monthly unique visitors to 20k. I was responsible for the planning and day to day running of the business, implementing processes across the team, including creative reporting, managing our U.S. intern programme and all HR related matters.
I worked with the Alan Carr team on the 12 Days of Christmas comedy show, assisting with VT shoots in Monaco, Oxford and location filming in London. I was responsible for budget management, drafting call sheets, studio rehearsing, filming and music clearance management.
Operational management of the Digital team (50 people), manager of day-to-day logistics of the London office. I was responsible for planning and execution of events including a Social Media Workshop (Dublin), a Digital Away Day and a Heads of Digital and stakeholders 3 day workshop. I led the digital strategy for ‘Shakespeare Lives’, the global program of events and activities celebrating Shakespeare’s work on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his death in 2016. I developed the EU Shakespeare No Filter campaign showcasing accessible opportunities for young people living in the UK to encourage an interest in Shakespeare through innovative storytelling using Instagram. I developed a bespoke approach to inductions for new starters and set up a cross department group to share skills and knowledge.
Facilitated the professional management and successful running of a architectural practice. I was responsible for the development of content and delivered exemplary communications to ensure successful delivery of complex projects (Battersea Powerhouse and Byron restaurants).
Worked across a number of TV and Film productions including Miranda, Strictly Come Dancing, Coriolanus (Dir: Ralph Fiennes), and led the production of the ‘First Click’ and ‘Bringing up Britain’ campaigns getting the the over 50s online for the first time. I managed weekly project meetings and assisted with back-office finance and HR teams.
