About me
Alongside my role as a Marketer in the Automotive industry, I have 8 years of experience in design, offering tailored support to individuals to create memorable artwork that’s personal to them. In 2016, I established my independent business ‘If You Wish’, specialising in creating delicate and unique designs that are transformed through hand drawing and digital techniques - from fashion and interior design through to greetings cards, gift wrap and wedding stationery. The concept came about whilst at University, when I worked alongside my studies with primary-aged children and also, those with special educational needs (SEN). During this time, I was awarded the BA(Hons) Textile Theory Prize for my research into the fundamentals of creativity, imaginative play and exploration through the senses in child development. Today, my designs are characterised by a playful and sophisticated style that blends inspiring colour combinations with textures, pattern and process. I love creating beautiful watercolour illustrations with bright 'pops' of colour and transforming them into charmingly crafted products. The coordinating collections intended for fabric and paper, include hand-rendered and digital techniques incorporating print and stitch. I love capture the moments that mean the most to people and begin to document their story.

'Big Paws, Little Feet' - Children's Interior CollectionInspired by the Polar Regions of the world including The Arctic and Antarctic environments, the ‘Big Paws, Little Feet’ collection comprises accessories for an interior (nursery or playroom) and is intended for children aged 7 years and below. The purpose is to encourage them to engage in play, explore their imagination and interact through tactile and sensory experiences. The imaginative concept has developed from a unique, stylised approach to mark making. The fun and playful designs derive from my ‘painterly’ handprints that are recreations of children’s drawing styles and creativity. The tactile collection displays a colourful combination of watercolour, pencil, digital print and occasionally embellishment. A concept that I believe is perfect and practical for little ones to let their imaginations run wild and narrate their own stories.

I was encouraged to explore the tactile world of textiles by experimenting with traditional design methods and digital technology. Underpinned by technical knowledge of texture, colour and pattern, a creative vision – and the techniques to bring them together, I learned first-hand, from established industry designers including Lucy Richardson from Allihopa, Tilleke Schwarz and renowned global company, International Greetings. The hands-on experience of working collaboratively on live briefs, helped me to gain insight into the commercial world with industry placements whilst developing my own style.
