About me
Alice Ishiguro Tosey is a creative with ten years experience at design studios in London and Tokyo. Receiving recognition and awards from D&AD, Design Week and Creative Review. More recently she has developed new series of works that explore her cultural heritage of both Japan and the UK. She is currently studying a masters in Global Collaborative Design Practice at UAL Camberwell and Kyoto Institute of Technology. As a member of the Typographic Circle committee, she supports the talks and workshops for the student development programme.

  • Pink Floyd The Later Years
    Pink Floyd The Later YearsThe final lyrics of each song are typeset in rings, eventually disappearing to create an apt lasting memory for the back cover of the compilation. Designed with Michael Johnson at Johnson Banks. Animation by Nikita Iziev.
  • Hanbun
    HanbunTypographic executions combining the Roman alphabet with Japanese Kanji characters, to allow for dual interpretation.
  • Royal Astronomical Society
    Royal Astronomical SocietyStepped spokes are repeated and rotated to form a symbol that can be interpreted in multiple ways – a stylised eye or planet with an orbiting moon – reflecting the many different sides of the Society’s work. Designed with Michael Johnson at Johnson Banks.
