About me
I’m a digital creative who loves to make digital products and services that people enjoy using in their everyday lives. Over the past 13 years I’ve had the privilege of creating new and exciting projects for Alexander McQueen, BBC, Lonely Planet, Skype, Orange, The National Geographic Channel, Mercedes-Benz and the World Gold Council.
Projects
  • SKYPE.COM
SKYPE.COMAfter winning the best practices Webby award for Skype.com, Poke were tasked to help re-brand Skype.com after the Microsoft acquisition. Inspired by the way circles structured both their brand mark and iconography, we created a new minimal graphical language that perfectly placed them into being part of the Microsoft family. Role: Art Director. Credits: Design Director: Fred Flade, Designers: Kenzo Mayama Kramarz, Producer: Carolyn Appleton
  • LONELY PLANET
LONELY PLANETPoke were briefed to transform lonelyplanet.com into an online Bible for travellers. This was a year long task to create a living, breathing property that’s dynamic, reactive and relevant to every person that visits the site. Like the books we wanted the site to be a wealth of information but also be a place to inspire you to explore and contribute your own story. Since launching it won the Webby Award for Travel three times, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Role: Art Direction, Lead Designer and UX. Credits: Creative Director: Nik Roope, Design Director: Steve ‘Buzz’ Pearce, Designers: Will Cheyney, Dom Goodrum, Producer: Peter Beech, Kate Theakston
  • ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
ALEXANDER MCQUEENPoke were tasked to re-design Alexander McQueen’s flagship website and introduced e-commerce for the first time for both mens and womenswear. Ready to wear looks derived directly from the seasonal show collections are showcased with an option to buy individual items or complete looks. An inspiring editorial layer of content allows visitors to "Experience McQueen" and discover the theatre of his infamous live shows plus the unique and challenging collaborations he undertakes. Role: Art Direction and Lead Designer. Credits: Creative Director: Simon Waterfall, Design Director: Steve ‘Buzz’ Pearce, Designer: Dom Baker, Developer: Gemma Leigh, Producer: John Bright.
