STUDENT AMBASSADOR • UCA • 2016 – PRESENT • Customer service/sales role • Providing welcoming and helpful advice and services to guests of the University, answering questions and providing tours of the campus and specific course areas. • Assisting running creative workshops at the University for the Creative Arts, but also Surrey University, with children aged 13-18. • Assisting teachers with trips away with children to events in London for the National Saturday Club. • Working in both large and small teams, delegating roles and managing/training new staff members in tours and other specifics of the ambassador job. • Admin and office work experience which includes: answering emails, stuffing envelopes, sending out mail outs and handwritten cards, organizing events, researching for events, and general organizing for the office or for specific tasks. • Telecoms: answering and making telephone calls. • Sufficient knowledge using Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets of timetables, and for keeping track of data. • Compiling goody-bags for students, teachers, applicants and visitors. • Providing creative and general feedback in focus groups on branding and management of how the university is presented on Open Days etc.
RECEPTIONIST • ROCKLEY PARK • 2016 - 2017 • Answering Telephone requests and bookings. • General Customer Assistance and dealing with customer requests, complaints and information. • Keeping track of the number of swimmers in the swimming pool areas. • Enforcing child safety rules and regulations, putting safety bands on young swimmers and making sure children were safe and secure before entering the pool areas. • Organizing, taking and creating activity bookings. • Till work and replenishing stock, maintaining a clear and tidy design for front of house.
UCA Farnham - BA (Hons) Illustration course, has a strong reputation for visual narrative and documentary, underpinned by an understanding that the best illustration is based on exciting, original ideas. Students investigate these concepts through drawing, text, sequential design, book production, moving image, printmaking, three-dimensional craft and creative writing.
Student Helper for young people around the country are spending Saturday mornings at their local university, college or museum discovering subjects they love. Saturday Clubs are open to 13–16 year olds and free to attend.
