- VIETNAMFor my Specialist Professional Practice project, I responded to the title ‘Vietnam’, inspired by a family trip I made to Vietnam in 2008. The scenic views of the rice paddy fields and the colourful dress of the Hamong women sparked my interest of this being an exciting theme with a huge variety of subject matter to investigate. My aim was to explore print on both soft and hard materials, designing for a high-end interiors’ context, specifically for luxury hotels in Southeast Asia.
- INSIDE OUTFor my final major project, I have responded to the title ‘inside out’, a theme initially inspired by Fauvism but then later predominantly influenced by the Bauhaus. Colour and shape are at the core of my project and were explored via collage and mark-making. My intention was to keep my use of colour fresh and crisp in order for it to sit effortlessly within a luxury home. I used hand and digital print techniques on hard and soft surfaces in conjunction with Jacquard weaving to create a coherent
