About me
Amelia Bowe is a Creative currently based in London at Refinery29, a global media company helping women to see, feel and claim their power. Her experience has always been grounded in the beauty industry, having joined Cosmopolitan Australia in 2013 to cover beauty, health and lifestyle across their website. It was here she interviewed women who underwent skin cancer treatment in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of skin checks and SPF, worked alongside a resident GP to help give women a better understanding of their anatomy and sourced insider knowledge from the best in biz (hey, Sir John and Jen Atken!). Most recently Amelia co-founded the Change The Channel initiative to convince more pubs and venues in the UK to play women’s sport on their televisions, with the BBC, Vice and ELLE covering the campaign, among other publications. In the past twelve months at Refinery29, working within their in-house Creative agency The 29th, Amelia has helped launch global communication platforms and led interagency campaigns for Walgreens Boots Alliance-owned brands. Her work for WBA has centred around helping more women feel represented in the creative and media industries through diverse storytelling and collaboration. Before landing her gig at R29, Amelia was the Content Strategist and Creator for COTY Australia at Hyland Communications Agency, working across Rimmel, Sally Hansen, OPI, philosophy, Clairol, Max Factor and Bourjois, where she helped shape creative across global, luxury and professional divisions. In 2018 Amelia was honoured to be named a Creative Finalist in B&T's 30 Under 30 Awards which celebrates young talent working in marketing communications in Australia.

Not only did we drum up press support but industry support too. Associate Chief Executive of the British Beer & Pub Association got behind us, as well as football publications & communitie

Sisterhood Series: Meet Amelia, Nadia and EmilyFor Amelia, Emily and Nadia, the experience of building work relationships blossomed into a sisterhood of support and mentorship. This episode is part of a six-part series edited by Working Womxn, produced by Reform The Funk and directed by Sheena Brobbey.
  • Outliers
OutliersLove it or hate it, the circus has captivated global audiences for decades. For photographer Nadia Correia who grew up in Lisbon, Portugal in the ‘80s, the circus was an exciting place that she could escape to as a young girl. It’s these childhood memories that compelled her to explore the beauty of transformation through a modern make up story. We are escaping to a world of inclusion, where being different is simply the norm. Introducing ‘Outliers’ a celebration of the cast of characters w
