Projects
- Playing with BeautyIn this project I was challenging the stereotypical norms of what 'beauty' is in society today. I was not only challenging the idea that beauty must be within certain categories, but using this as an opportunity to help a dear friend of mine who was suffering with side effects of being deeply self conscious and destructive because of this. I brought them to see themselves in an explicit but harmonious light, what he considered once imperfections, now sees as fragments beauty.
- Etching OutsideIn this ongoing project have attempted to bring elements of terroir and the actual physical qualities of the soil (and water) from a specific locale into my print making practice in the hope of bringing some of the emotional resonance of a given place into the pieces I make. To this end, I have focussed on a particular place of which I am very fond of (and yet which is very convenient): the River Kelvin, where it flows through Kelvingrove Park.
