About me

Andrew Selby is an illustrator with an established international client list built over 25 years. He has made illustrations for editorial, publishing, advertising and animation clients in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Andrew’s diverse illustration work is made for national and international clients from his studio in England. His thought-provoking, conceptual illustrations are created using digital software and traditional gouache, watercolour and ink and are exemplified by bold colours, striking patterns and playful compositions. This site also shows some of his latest projects. Andrew also writes about visual communication practice in books, academic and popular journals and online. His books Animation in Process (2009) and Animation (2013) were published by Laurence King with co-editions in Spanish, Chinese and Taiwanese. He is currently writing Editorial Illustration for Bloomsbury Publishing, due for release in December 2021. Andrew is Associate Professor of Illustration at Loughborough University, UK.
