With a diverse professional background—ranging from advertising agencies to small design studios, and also as editorial designer at Vogue Spain—Ângela Monteiro is a graphic designer and art director with 10+ years of experience, currently working as freelancer, developing creative strategies for local and international clients, for both print and digital environments.
Projects
- AeroplasticsAeroplastics is an art gallery based in Brussels, Belgium. They position themselves as audacious and unconventional, offering large shows in and out of the gallery system, exhibiting only marginal artists who don’t follow the trends. Inspired by the concept of “outside the box” and their aim to communicate a dynamic and adventurous spirit, a flexible identity system was created where the brand composes a typographic exterior framebox for all the artistic activity that happens inside it.
- Vogue SpainSpreads designed during the 2+ years working at Vogue Spain, while making part of the process of redesigning the magazine, under the art direction of Óscar Germade. A custom typeface was created for the occasion, with an extensive family that included some special versions developed for specific issues, evoking the monthly subject covered.
