About me
I am a career-changing book cover designer - after working very hard to learn new graphic design skills, undertaking lots of passion projects, a couple of freelance professional projects, honing my portfolio and working very hard on my self-development, I am now a full time book cover designer at Headline Art Department at Hachette UK - the UK’s second biggest publisher (after Penguin Random House).
I am at junior level and am probably the oldest ‘junior’ they’ve ever had! (😂) But I love my job and am learning so much each day. I juggle work with family commitments (I have a husband and a little girl) so I have a lot on my plate, especially having to commute to Londoners from West Sussex three times a week.
But it’s so wonderful to be paid to do the thing you love! It really is the best job!
