About me
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Management. While studying I’ve been introduced to many subjects such as marketing, marketing communication, public relations and event management. During my education the emphasis was on practice. This has helped me during my internship in London where I assisted the marketing and sales director of a fashion company. I was in charge of the social media accounts and organised two business events. My education and the experience I gained during my internship have aided me in my current job. I am currently working as a Communication Officer for a small town. I am in charge of organising and coordinating local events and press conferences while maintaining a close relationship with press contacts, handling social media and the corporate website, implementing the corporate identity and coordinating the implementation of a new website. I am in charge of small team, existing of four people, myself included. I am both creative and organised. I think this is very important. Even in stressful situations I can keep my cool and manage to keep everything organised. I am creative as well, I am full of ideas without losing a sense of reality and feasibility. For example, at my current job, I came forward with the idea of creating a summer activities brochure for every resident of the town. I coordinated the whole process from the start until the end, with help of my team. I am a quick learner and eager to further my knowledge and experience. I would love to obtain a job in London. I have no problem travelling for my job.
Projects
  • Summer activities brochure
Summer activities brochureLast year we published the town's first summer brochure. My team and I contacted a few graphic designers and printers to ask them to make a draft for us. We picked out the best one. Then we proceeded to contact all the official clubs in town, asking them to mail us their summer activities. We compiled them all and proofread and edited where needed and sent them over to the graphic designer and printer. We got very positive comments from the townspeople about our initiative.
  • Wedding anniversaries
Wedding anniversariesEvery year the couples who celebrate their 50th, 60th and 65th wedding anniversary are invited to attend a celebration organised by the local government. The Mayor congratulates every couple personally, before giving a speech and having a photo moment. Afterwards they are offered a lunch.
