About me
Hi there I'm Annie, I'm British born with Indian heritage. I'm a photographer, filmmaker and sound art creator. Based currently near Brighton, in the UK. I graduated from Goldsmiths University with a BA in Fine Art (2017). My work has a strong thread pulled through whatever I do is explore connection, with a lens of intimacy, whether that be with delving into people's deeply personal stories through creating podcasts and intuitive soundscapes exploring menstruation, or capturing musicians in their deep flow state through an intimate lens on my camera, or creating a film exploring the vital connection between trees and humanity through "interviews" with trees and their importance for our survival. My photography spans from documentary, portraiture, musician's press shots and event photography. My more personal projects explore different cultures and the placement of the feminist perspective and experience being a woman within society. Decor assistant a part of a team of four helping to create suspended decor passion flowers and paint the mural for the Main Stage at Lovejam Campout festival. I took my own initiative in colour matching, and helped others on the team with this too which was a lot of fun painting the Autumn Equinox themed mural, merging figures with nature. This was such a fun project to be a part of and I loved working with Lovejam and the team to create epic decor!
