About me
I've been working in social for just over 10 years and my experience covers a mix of agency and in-house which has given me a unique set of skills. Agency taught me to think on my feet, know how the social landscape moves, and most importantly how and when to take risks. Brand has taught me to go deep into data to really understand audiences, know what problems/challenges they need solved and how to cohesively integrate social into wider marketing campaigns and goals. I build social and content strategies to set the direction then provide oversight to execution teams to make sure they're pushing for content excellence and creative innovation in everything they do. I love working in environments that champion collaboration. I also love leading/managing others and it's where I derive a lot of my purpose, so it's important to me to be able to be able to coach and grow others in their work and career day to day. The bulk of my experience lies in FMCG, Luxury, Food & Drink and Alcohol.

  • Fanta Squad
    Fanta SquadI was lucky to be involved in a first of its kind project for Fanta South Africa - a 13 week YouTube show called The Fanta Squad. I was responsible for the social media rollout plan and social media content execution for the entire show duration. This involved: - Mapping out each week's social media content - Aligning with various other agencies on media, PR and activation elements in order to create a fully integrated project rollout plan - Coming up with what the social media content would lo

    Led and developed a team of social media rockstars at Born alongside the Head of Social including hiring new talent for the team. Day to day, I partnered with clients to create impactful social-first strategies and oversaw their execution to push for content excellence, creative innovation and meaningful community engagement. The role came to an end due to a company restructure, but it was a great chapter with plenty to be proud of. I directly line managed 2 Senior Social Media Managers and 1 Senior Content Creator in this role covering probation reviews, performance reviews, goal setting and weekly/monthly 1:1s.
