I’m Avi, a print and pattern designer based in Hackney.
Since graduating from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University in 2003, I started out as a Knitwear designer but pivoted to Print design in 2008. I have worked across the fashion and soft home textile industry from supplier to retailer to brand and have a wide breadth of knowledge and a commercial eye.
I have extensive knowledge of Adobe suite, print techniques and processes and have a keen understanding of colour and repeat.
I am available for freelance work for print design, vintage re-working/re-drawing, trend and catwalk analysis, and bespoke illustration.
I can prepare files and artworks to be factory ready, and produce techpacks with extensive instructions. I am happy to work in-house or remotely dependent on location, and I can slot into any team dynamic as I am motivated, supportive and collaborative.
My love of gifting and stationery inspired me to launch my own range of cards, wrapping and wall art, focusing on my love of colour, puns and childhood whimsy.
I take my love of pattern and colour with me wherever I go and love to find something magical in the everyday.
