About me
Hi there! I'm Barbara - graphic designer based in London, specialising in branding, art direction and graphic design.
I was born in the South of Italy, then moved to Milan, then to London. Well, what a life!
Going back to where my story started, I began my studies with Product Design, an experience that gave me a strong practical way of designing, then I took my master degree in Graphics and Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano.
I'm basically restless so I worked as graphic and editorial designer, as web designer, I started my wonderful experience with photography (that I always considered just a hobby, but actually is my passion and side job), I did product management, UI and UX. At the end, I found my way with Branding and Graphic Design, moving more and more to Art Direction everyday. It can be a long way to the top folks!
I’m definitely a perfectionist, but I can understand time and budget limitations, so I won't stress you out too much if you don't want to, but I do believe in hard work and I'm not afraid of pressure. Commitment is the word.
Visiting a good exhibition, having an interesting conversation or finishing a good book help me focusing. A passionate love for art, photography, literature and fashion is often my source of inspiration: a painting always communicates with its viewer, forcing him to think. These thoughts can be good or bad, but they will be there, real, for sure. That’s the aim in my projects, never leaving people emotionless.

- The Mission LandsA photographic journey through San Francisco Mission district murals. I visited San Francisco in April 2017, five friends, a huge car and a great roadtrip around California. We stayed in San Francisco for one week only and the Mission district was the first thing we wanted to see. You can really breath the Mexican influence there, the Latino culture, like nowhere else in San Francisco. It was a sunny day so the walls and fences were shining with their bright colours in the sunlight, I really lov
- Q CityIsometric illustration Quiqup is the on-demand delivery app that can pickup and deliver all that London has to offer in less than 40 minutes. I joined the company at the very beginning, working as UI and UX designer for the mobile app but then, while rebranding, I moved to pure visual design to follow my personal preferences, becoming responsible for the brand development and the art direction. This illustration was made for the Board of Investors presentation and will be animated in order to better show the customer journey.
- Milano, look againPlaying cards for a new way of looking at the city. "Milano, look again" concept comes from my passion for photography. I loved holding on the film details and unexpected views of Milano, a city that has always been described gray and gloomy, and that I learnt to love and comprehend through the lens. The idea of using the playing cards metaphor comes from Alice in Wonderland: as Alice, I've been exploring the city and meeting its "strange" inhabitants. The project is an invitation to look at th
