I'm a motivated and ambitious graphic designer with a broad skill set and a penchant for beautiful letter forms. Experienced at every stage of the design journey from concept and brief to execution and delivery. Laid back guy, friendly and personable with a deep passion for design. I do my own personal type projects, calligraphy, and type design. Also experimenting with Sign Painting and re-learning html/css currently for a bit of fun.Locked Pro Plan feature
At Anomaly I've been working across a wide range of projects filling a range of capacities. From Lead Design on projects to Design support. Lending technical and conceptual abilities where needed. Working in a small team of designers and design directors to produce work ranging from advertising campaigns to branding systems and social assets. While here I've worked on multiple winning pitches and been an integral member of the team here aiding in the development of Juniors and overall attempting to increase the quality, consistency and volume of work produced by the department.
During my time at Ichi I was a key player in concepting, developing and producing various branding and promotional elements for a range of video-games across multiple platforms. My focus was creating brands that felt a part of the worlds and environments of the games. Working with the developers from an early stage allowed a certain amount of influence over certain elements within the game such as colour palettes and even stylistic features in the actual game environment. I was in direct contact with clients and developers throughout each project to ensure I got the assets I needed to meet the brief.
I worked for Quiet Storm since March of last year. I was brought in to handle the design team and oversee all materials being produced across print and digital with a creative and visual input on the video and motion graphics related projects also. I worked on both client and pitch work (winning several pitches) and strived to bring the overall work quality of the agency to a higher standard. During my time there I managed 2 junior designers helping to develop their skills and manage their workflow. I worked alongside 2 Art Directors and 2 Creative Directors lending my strengths where I could and solving problems as and when they cropped up. I also introduced new filing systems, a new server set-up and printer system to better facilitate the company and it's growing needs as their previous systems and facilities were grossly ineadequate.
I filled a duel role in ODD as a middle-weight artworker as well as Design and general technical support for the art directors. I was required to manage print jobs, work with layouts and design logos and store window displays, print production and preparation as well as educate the staff on how to use the creative suite efficiently. It was a trouble shooting and design role which I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of.
