I'm a motivated and ambitious graphic designer with a broad skill set and a penchant for beautiful letter forms. Experienced at every stage of the design journey from concept and brief to execution and delivery. Laid back guy, friendly and personable with a deep passion for design.
I spend most of my time fussing over type stuff, dabbling in calligraphy, making stuff and getting obsessed with the invisible things that make design so rewarding. Currently trying to get re-centred amidst this COVID-reality and aiming to re-vamp the way in which I approach my own work practice.
Projects
- BLOCK FIENDSo at the start of lockdown I created a condensed slab style display typeface called "BlockFiend" I'm still fussing about with it but thought this was a bit of fun. It's intentionally a bit jarring as I think that's just what I was digging at the time! The typeface will be available for download soon and the 3D renders was created by my good friend Mat Spendlove (check out his stuff it's awesome)
- Grenfell TowersI was asked by one of the creative teams at Anomaly to put together some large scale projections for the Grenfell Towers charity. They wanted to draw attention to the lack of action taken by the British Government in the face of the tragedy from 2 years ago. It was a great project to be a part of and seeing the impact it made socially was wonderful. Full credit to Conrad, Alex and Jo for their vision.
- Oh Geno!Oh Geno was a short film based on the life of Geno Washington, a soul singer famous from the 1960s. It centred around his story of one fateful night that led him to the love of his life and the career of his dreams. I was approached along with my collaborator and dear friend Noor Ali to produce some posters and title screens for the premier of the film.

At Anomaly I've been working across a wide range of projects filling a range of capacities. From Lead Design on projects to Design support. Lending technical and conceptual abilities where needed. Working in a small team of designers and design directors to produce work ranging from advertising campaigns to branding systems and social assets. While here I've worked on multiple winning pitches and been an integral member of the team here aiding in the development of Juniors and overall attempting to increase the quality, consistency and volume of work produced by the department.
