About me
Benjamin Parfitt is a Graphic Designer currently based in Bristol. He specialises in Branding, Typography, Web and Editorial Design. After falling in love with the field of graphic design at the age of 13, and teaching himself programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Benjamin decided to pursue Graphic Design in finer detail at Falmouth University at BA (Hons) and MA level respectively, and actively working on freelance projects at the same time.

    ExploreIn collaboration with: The Science Museum As it stands, there are an estimated 425,000 3D objects held by the Science Museum, most of which aren’t on display, as space has become an issue for the objects. A way to prevent this issue arising further sees the step in of augmented reality. Using augmented reality will allow digital versions of the objects to be placed in the surroundings of the relevant curated exhibition space which will be aided by an application that will accompany each exhibi

    Virgin Impulse (D&AD 2019)The primary ‘idea’ to give Virgin Impulse a strategic edge and true USP is to create a digital interface that will allow users to book holiday spontaneously and quickly (approximately 5-10mins from open to booking) while feeling like they have control and ownership over their experience. This has been achieved with a ‘Tinder Style’ rapid fire decision making section based on images of different types of locations.     Flexi-Read‘Flexi-Read’ is a web browser extension which is a tool that allows people who have dyslexia be able to adjust type on the digital screen – ranging from spacing of the characters and words to the weight, height and weight of characters. ‘Flexi-Read’ uses variable fonts as the base typography format as variable fonts allow for more adaptability for different outcomes which helps enable a more unique and tailored adjustments for those who need it most.
