Bette-Belle Blanchard is an artist and arts educator living, working, and making books in London. Her work explores themes of folklore, flora and fauna, and the human body alongside all of its functions. Providing support in a small studio environment. Keeping an up-to-date online shopfront/website and managing customer relations through Shopify and Etsy, assisting with social media management using post scheduling software such as Later. Conducting research and assisting with design process for new products. Picking and packing. Management of deliveries incoming and outgoing through Royal Mail, DHL, Hermes. Processing orders and stock through online trading and invoicing platforms such as Trade Gecko and Xero.
Notable Clients include: Tate Britain, Camberwell College of Arts, Goldsmiths University, Grrrl Zine Fair, Art Clubbers Co-ordinating and facilitating drop-in style and group taught workshops as designed by myself and other employers. Conﬁdently encouraging and assisting children, young people and adults through the process of zine-making, and other creative skills. Assisting with preparations before the event e.g. arrangement of materials access and preparing documents for print. Completing preparations, including social media promotion, to tight deadlines before events.

A project in which myself and several collaborators make and source zines to publish ourselves within the DIY scene of south east London. Maintaining a social media page with a growing following. Sourcing writers and artists to collaborate and publish with. Paying attention to an ever-shifting and developing scene.
Joining the ops team yearly, covering Frieze Masters and London as part of a small, hard working team to ensure production runs smoothly. Guiding visitors and important guests, proving to be responsible of their valuable possessions. Distribution of publications, manual handling. Following health and safety procedures.
The Bell (Aldgate), The White Hart (New Cross), The Tiger (Camberwell) Part of a small team running a busy bar and kitchen, specialising in craft beer and gourmet food. Providing excellent customer/table service with comprehensive product and menu knowledge, and cash handling. Handling bookings via email and telephone, maintaining a regularly updated menu. Contributing to a welcoming pub/restaurant environment. Following health and food safety regulations.
Began as Retail Operative, then promoted to Key Holder with cash handling responsibilities. Admin tasks such as emailing budget and line count info to head office daily, handling customer service and business with third parties (i.e deliveries) over the phone. Writing summary reports on the performance of colleagues, relaying this to HO. Merchandising and keeping company guidelines, operating tills, processing deliveries and stock management. Providing excellent customer service, which was highlighted as key priority due to Smiggle’s excellent reputation with their customer base.
Artist liaison, de-installing and packing valuable artwork. Part of a hard working team to ensure production runs smoothly. Distributing of promotional materials and representing Moniker as a brand. Welcoming visitors and collecting their details, assisting them when needed.
