About me
My name is Briony. I am a graphic designer who enjoys working within design fields such as editorial design, advertising and publication design. I have recently graduated from the University of Southampton, Winchester School of Art with a BA Degree in Graphic Arts. Graphic Design to me is about breaking boundaries and stepping outside of the box, creating something new and different. My work revolves highly around this, using it to create an engaging experience for the viewers through different mediums to evoke an emotion. I like to do this through use of typography, photography and a focus colour. It allows my work within a project to be consistent, legible and easy to follow.

TriskaidekaphobiaISTD – THE SIGNIFICANCE OF NUMBERS The number 13… silly superstition or a real life fear? The concept behind this publication is to identify what triskaidekaphobia is and where it originated from. This idea looks at numerology, a form of mathematics, and dives deeper into the meanings behind each number, specifically here, the number 13 and the unlucky superstition surrounding it.
  • Invisible Workers
Invisible WorkersThe intention for this project is to raise awareness for the bees and the importance they have on not just the environment but on human lifestyle too. The poster is minimalistic and cl

ABOUT GROOVY DOOD & CO In February 2021 we purchased a puppy. During the Coronavirus pandemic I decided that this was a good time to reconnect with my creative energy and use my initiative so on April 11th 2021 I started my own handmade, personalised dog accessory business, Groovy Dood & co. I mostly sell my products online and promote my business through its social media pages on Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. After spending many hours researching, promoting and engaging with my followers on Groovy Dood & co I have gained a huge amount of new knowledge regarding social media platforms and experienced first hand how marketing can impact a business. Alongside selling online, I have been participating in weekly market trading stalls. Selling to the public in person has really boosted my confidence not only in my products and business but in myself and my ability to communicate with my audience and the general public. By selling in two very different ways I have improved on my marketing knowledge and most importantly I’ve further learnt to manage and prioritise my timekeeping skills. Being a small business owner allows me to be in control of every aspect of the business which has progressed through a lot of researching and self teaching that I have thoroughly enjoyed learning and putting into practice.
