Projects
- Obscure Cheese and WineCreated 3 Obscure Cheese and Wine books that promote myself and the field of work I would love to work in. All books are printed on various GF Smith textured paper which relates to the type of cheese. The books are wrapped in greaseproof paper with a personalised sticker to give the idea of actual cheese
- Major ProjectDue to visiting Stina winery in the summer on Brac in Croatia. I decided my major project would be based around them. As soon as I saw the packaging I fell in love with the company, and the wine itself. This is a journal and collection of photographs in my search for a major project, focusing on assets from the winery, Stina
- Penguin book CompetitionPenguin Awards (REVIEW) 2015 After submitting my work to penguin under a vast amount of pressure and limited time. I decided I still wasnt happy with the typography, it wasn't giving me what I wanted after reviewing it a few days later. I decided that hand rendering with work well with my image and maybe make it look like it is part of the image. I decided to go with a very curly hand render to give it a sense of personality and freedom that Jeannette is feeling throughout the book. The reason for the cross on the O was to show a link with her sexuality and the church. Although submission for penguin has passed now, i'm hoping I have pleased myself by reviewing it again.
- Charanga Del Norte - AtlanaSue Miller and her Charanga Del Norte 'Atilana' We as a group were proposed by Sue Miller to design a cd cover for her updated version of the Cuban song 'Atilana' Sue Miller has been studying the interaction between the flute player and the dancer. She want something that expressed movement. The song is about a guy who loves dancing he wants to go out dancing and his wife discovers a grey hair and refuses. The song repeats "what what are we going to do" The song is about growing old and the struggles on the way. This is my final design using nail varnish marbling hoping to express the movement of the dancers legs, which is a very unique move, signature to Cuba and the dancer.
