What initially started out as a hobby to combine my interest of the Law and Fashion via blogging about Fashion Law, has nearly 7 years later expanded into a legal and business consultancy for those in the fashion and entertainment industries.
With a unique take on Fashion where the focus is on the legal and business side e.g. Intellectual Property, Contract Law, Employment Law etc. there was a clear gap in the market in the UK as there was little to no information/resources compared to America where there is dedicated resources, publications, institutes and law firms servicing this area.
With the aim of making Law affordable, relatable and creative for all, birthed The Fashion Law Edit.
In April 2017, the platform was a finalist to win Best Company Lifestyle Blog in the UK Blog Awards. In September 2017, I organised and hosted TFLE’s first event titled “Sustainability in the Fashion Industry” in collaboration with Cassady’s Law Firm in Conde Nast. In March 2021, in celebration of International Women’s Day, I hosted TFLE’s webinar event 'Women In Fashion Law' which was an amazing success. TFLE’s most recent in-person event ‘Legally Influenced 101’ was in July 2022, with the focus of helping influencers and content creators be aware of their legal rights and general legal knowledge when it comes to contracts, working with big brands, conflict resolution, demystifying legal jargon and so much more.
