About me

I am a music producer and composer based in Manchester. I write music and perform under the alias' Paleman and Fresnel Lens. I also work scoring audio visual projects and short and feature film soundtracks. I studied at Chethams College of Music before graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a degree in Jazz Studies and Orchestration. I am available for bespoke composition work for film and tv.

  Fresnel Lens - Incantations (Album)Incantations is the result of around 6 months of experimentation and composition - this work follows on from the previous 2 Fresnel Lens releases as a collection of my experimental composition works. I chose the title as I noticed towards the end of the writing process that a theme and mood was emerging as I trawled through the last 6 months worth of work...I felt that whilst this album still retains threads of the previous two releases, (notably the use of exclusively make noise modular synth

• MIF 2017Manchester International Festival is a biennial arts festival that plays host to original new work from the fields of art, music, theatre, dance and film. For this project I was asked to design an identity concept and responsive website for the upcoming 2017 edition of the festival, using the tagline ‘Experience Overload’ as a starting point. In response to this brief I developed a repeating pattern inspired by computer glitches that is used throughout the branding and which forms the basis of the event calendar.
