Camila is a documentary photographer based in London, discovered photography whilst studying her degree in Sociology at Sao Paulo's University. She is currently studying for a MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the LCC/UAL. Her work explores and foment discussions related to identity, gender and social issues.

- save the krahoThis project is the outcome of time spent in a indigenous village (aldeia) in March 2016. The Brazilian ethnic group Kraho live in the north east of Tocantins State, inner parts of Brazil. The Kraho had their first contact with ocidental civilizations around 200 years ago, since when they have been experiencing many sort of threats, environmental changes and external cultural influences. - PaiThe idea for this project came up from my dad's insistence to be photographed at moments of sadness, when he was crying. These moments were results of depression, which was, sometimes, enhanced by drunkenness. My dad used to state that people only remember to register happy moments and that they always make a point of affirming, through photography, they are happy regardless it is the truth.
