  • Enric Pladevall
Enric PladevallEnric Pladevall is a Spanish sculptor who creates mystical forms that combine the natural and the man made. Working with steel and wood he creates a duality of kinetic energy and calm. His sculptures, some of which are vast, have been placed in contexts which exemplify the diversity of his work for his exhibition titled,‘The Mystery of the Elements’. The exhibition was installed at the CIRCA gallery and simultaneously in the NIROX Foundation sculpture park.
  • Deborah Bell - Caversham Press Prints
Deborah Bell - Caversham Press PrintsCIRCA on Jellicoe held an exhibition of Deborah Bell’s iconic printmaking projects created in collaboration with Caversham Press. Deborah Bell is one of South Africa's most acclaimed artists. She has worked with a great variety of mediums during her career and has collaborated on various projects that are considered historically important. These projects include collaborations with contemporaries and pioneers of the resistance art movement such as William Kentridge and Robert Hodgins. Two of these collaborations resulted in UBU 101 and Little Morals, two very significant print collections that benchmarked the resistance movement. These two bodies of work were exhibited at CIRCA. I was responsible for the curation, installation, administration and selling of this exhibition.
  • Norman Catherine - Incognito
Norman Catherine - IncognitoCIRCA Gallery held a solo exhibition of new works by Norman Catherine. The show included sculpture, paintings and three-dimensional wooden sculpture. The signature work of the show is the monumental, “Cogitator”, the largest work Norman Catherine has made. My main role in this exhibition was to produce the catalogue and then manage the gallery and exhibition for the duration of it's showing.
  • Lyndi Sales - DSS2
Lyndi Sales - DSS2Lyndi Sales is a contemporary artist working with perspex as well as experimental papers. She creates her artwork through laser cutting. Her installation at CIRCA consisted of 40 unique laser cut pieces of radiant perspex that were assembled into one structure. 'Vision, perception and the imagination were my starting point for this body of work. An eye condition began my investigation into eyesight dilemmas and perceptual associations occurring due to astigmatism. Conditions of blurring, double vision and visual illusions typical of this condition, resulted in the creations of abstract paper cut outs, drawings and a spirographic string installation.' - Lyndi Sales
