Projects
- Made In Dagenham Hull College ShowThe Brief. The brief was to create an ident, brochure designs and poster designs for drama and dance students. They wanted a design that would be used to promote their show, Made in Dagenham. I worked alongside the students and marketing team at Hull College and pitched up our ideas. The outcome was a modern take on Made in Dagenham. I wanted something that would represent modern times as equal pay is still very much a 21st century issue however I wanted to nod to ideologies and aesthetics of the 60s. This resulted in a fresh ident, a series of clear line icons explaining and promoting the plot, and fresh colours that are muted but still stand out enough to market the show.
- Haringey Council Change CommsThe Brief. During my time at H&H Comms, I worked alongside Haringey Council, the senior designer and the Head of Consultancy and Learning at H&H in order to create a change programme for 1,800 Haringey Council employees. Following their rebrand in 2015, the council wanted to concentrate on the values of proactivity and positivity through a two day workshop at Alexandra Palace, that would engage and unite their employees. Understandably, people were nervous and hesitant to get on board therefore this needed to be a change programme that would deliver new values. To understand the borough, we focused on the key values that Haringey currently holds and what they hope to change. We mind mapped and created an in depth change programme that connected as many of Haringey's people as possible. We focused on the borough's strength, diversity and ability to perform under pressure. Haringey has a strong sense of community and positivity, and the workshop encouraged and highlighted this. There were speeches delivered by key employees at Haringey, the opportunity to network, games that encouraged the employees to work as a team and the opportunity to pin what they thought Haringey represented. That's 1,800 people's ideas of what their workplace and borough means to them; all pinned on all four walls for everyone to see. The two day event was inspiring; with 1,800 employees leaving the room; embracing this new period of change. My Role/The Concept. I worked on the workshop material’s from start to finish; with designers and consultants at H&H. I spent a week with the Head of Learning at H&H; mind mapping and overseeing what the change programme should entail. We concluded that everyone had to be on board; from gardeners to senior leaders. I was also given the opportunity to create several key posters that were put up at Alexandra Palace during the two day workshop. I was given full creative freedom; from the concepts to the copywriting. This resulted in a set of fun posters that encouraged change and promoted positivity.
