Illustrator and storyteller from Manchester, UK passionate about Children’s Publishing. I love working with creative people and community groups, conjuring up my own imaginative worlds, and being involved with the many amazing opportunities that come with being a freelance illustrator!
I create my work using traditional materials such as coloured pencil, gouache and watercolour and am often influenced by history and costume, as well as my love for conservation and the natural world. Whilst my illustrations are bright and playful, the celebration of friendships and imagination is an important part of my practice, and my favourite projects are those that allow me to infuse the richness of history with a meaningful and heart-warming story.
I also sell cards, prints and tote bags on my online shop and at Manchester Print Fair, and have facilitated enriching and inspiring workshops with Man Met Rise and primary school groups. When I’m not creating art I’m also a dance teacher and I share monthly inspirations and behind the scenes content on my blog.
Graduated in 2020 with a First in BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation from The Manchester Metropolitan University

I've always been interested in designing and illustrating for homewares, and thought how perfect this little beastie would look as a repeat pattern! I love to create art that is not only to be enjoyed but for people to interact with on a daily basis. Desi
- MarmadukeWritten and illustrated by Catherine Booth. A heart-warming children’s story inspired by the joy of dance, celebration of friendship, and the possibility of dreams coming true. Marmaduke is not like any other bird. Every morning after a cooling dip in the lake, he flies to the rooftop of the Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden and spends his days watching the dancers rehearse. His dream of performing on the stage himself is seemingly impossible, until one day when he meets a little girl who sh
