If you’ve ever had trouble with your Virgin modem or router, then you might already be familiar with the work I did over at Virgin Media. More than just telling people how to switch their modems on and off, this role involved working with a team of Technical Authors, Customer Service Advisers and Branding boffins to help translate a catalogue smarty pants technical jargon into friendly and easy to understand content for an FAQ content hub. As a Copywriter reporting to a lead Technical Author, I wrote, edited and proofread new and existing content. It was my job to ensure Virgin Media's FAQ content was helpful, easy to understand and embodied the Virgin's one-of-a-kind branding and tone of voice.
