About me
As a textile designer I am highly motivated and passionate about creating strong prints for interiors, working with either repeated or placement motifs. specialising in screen printing and some digital processes, my creativity can prevail as I produce detailed, delicate and confidently designed prints. with an eye for detail and great organisation, I am able to be precise as i strive to continue to produce work to the best of my ability.
Projects
  • Rococo - FMP
Rococo - FMP The inspiration for my final major project comes from the 17th and 18th century design styles Rococo and Baroque. I travelled to Paris in January to source visual research, colour inspiration and drawing material at the Palace of Versailles and the Louvre Museum, as well as visiting british palaces, stately Home’s and museums. Specialising in screen-print and some digital methods I have recreated classic interior textiles like Toule de Jouy, damask and chinoiserie using my own imagery and drawings.

After attending my Plymouth College of Art for the first year of my degree, I moved to the Arts University Bournemouth to start the second year of my BA Textiles degree. I have used my innovative and illustrative drawings as key inspiration points for my print designs whilst gaining first hand research from History and Culture. Specialising in screen printing, I have focussed my time at university on strengthening my skills in hand- printing, using multiple colour separations whilst producing both block repeated or placement prints. As well as hand methods, i focussed on gaining confidence with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Designing Textiles for Interiors allowed me to be confident and prolific with scale, using large motifs and large pieces of fabric to print on brought me a lot of valuable printing experience during my Final Major Project.
