My passion lies in the art of filmmaking, whether it be through captivating short films, creative commercials, or thought-provoking documentaries.
I graduated from the University of the Creative Arts in 2012 with a BA in Film Production. Following a brief stint at Blockbusters (RIP), I worked for the film and commercial company Smuggler, where I gained experience in commercials world while making my own short films.
With growing experience, I directed 2nd unit for acclaimed directors such as Tom Hooper and Henry-Alex Rubin, while my Sci-fi comedy 'Cropped' won Best Short at the Homespun awards and the Bafta-recognised 'Smalls Film Festival'. I later explored my Welsh heritage with the award-winning documentary 'Land of Steel' about the Port Talbot Steelworks; winning best documentary at the Wales International Film Festival and Kinsale, while also receiving critical acclaim at the London Short Film Festival.
This was shortly followed by my short film 'Let's Roll' a dramedy set around the Gloucester Cheese Roll. Let's Roll premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival followed by a screening at the BFI International Film Festival and picked up the Audience award at the Berlin British Shorts.
My latest short 'Rise' explores our relationships with nature and our environments through the eyes of a climber in North Wales. Rise premiered at Mountain Film in Telluride and recently won best film at the BMC Film Awards.
I'm currently working on a project that focuses on the issues of Light Pollution in the UK, as well as developing a feature that is centered around my experiences of Storm chasing in Tornado Alley.
