Hello! I’m a creative problem solver using design and culture as a tool for change. A passionate leader and collaborator, my approach is grounded in using authentic, fundamental truths to create things that matter. Throughout the evolution of my career, I have shifted focus from hands-on execution to designing frameworks and empowering creativity, without losing the passion to get my hands dirty. My experience spans the creative arts, including mission-driven branding and strategy, graphic design, creative direction, content development, illustration, photography, research and insights, and writing—and provides me the knowledge to lead with empathy. I’ve worked with (and within) large agencies, small local businesses, and a quickly growing startup, and feel most passionate about supporting independent businesses. In 2016, I was a founding team member of Square Roots—an urban farming technology company based in Brooklyn—where I’ve served on the senior team for the past four years. My primary responsibilities spanned the classic start-up range, but were anchored in cultivating purpose and values through everything from brand identity and communications to culture. I’m inspired by the potential of human ingenuity and creativity to design a better world. In the face of rapid change, our creations have to be all the things: adaptable, empathetic, beautiful, and innovative, to name a few. A shared sense of purpose and meaning drives creativity that opens up dialogue, shifts perspectives, inspires curiosity, and empowers change. But it’s not enough to think it; we have to codify, communicate, and design experiences with purpose to bring it to life.
