About me
I am a Central Saint-Martins trained fashion designer with more then 6 years of industry experience. In the past years, I have been working in Canada, Belgium, France and United Kingdom, assuming design and management positions in within the Fashion industry. I was also finalist at the International Talent Support contest in Italy 2015 and was published as a Vogue Talent 2015.
Through my studies and work experience, I was able to narrow my creative vision. I believe in fashion that shows high standard in quality and precision in shapes and cutting. A design code witch is honest and authentic craftwork that incorporate both tradition and modernity.
Projects
- CHARLES YAKOB - VOGUE TALENT/Charles Yakob is born out of nowhere in the middle of something. Created for the International Talent Support contest in Italy 2015, CY is the story of a meeting. A meeting of two mutual passions that find each other an unanticipated partnership, bound by spirit, honour, loyalty and freedom. Charles and Yakob intersect tradition and handcraft, while paying homage to the moral code of the modern female spirit. The collection is a homage to the Japanese samurai, inspired by warrior armour. - INK-CENTRAL ST MARTINSCOLLECTION – INK. /INK. is a capsule collection showing the results of research and exploration of shapes and coloration technique based on the Rorschach test. The collection tend to use the klecksography process to recreate random and accidental stains. Those stains are then use as patterns for garment and reference for colour placement. INK. is also a first experience at generating print and working with surface development for the designer. /PHOTO BY CSM STUDENTS
- V COLLECTION/ v collection THIS COLLECTION OF FOURTEEN LOOKS WAS DEVELOPED FOR PROFESSOR JOANNA BERZOWSKA’S RESEARCH PROJECT ON NEW FIBERS, CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ENERGY DRAWN FROM THE HUMAN BODY. THE PROJECT IS BASED ON FIVE MOVEMENTS; FLICK, BEND, VIBRATION, TORSION AND IMPACT. WHILE DONE IN REPETITION, THESE ACTIONS CREATE AN ENERGY IN THE FIBER. IN RESPONSE TO THE LEVEL OF ENERGY, FIBERS CAN; CHANGE COLOR, GENERATE LIGHT AND HEAT, AS WELL AS CHANGE CONSISTENCY OR VOLUME. THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS COLLECTION IS TO VULGARIZE THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF ENERGY CREATION IN THE FIBER; FROM THE ACTION TO THE REACTION. IN RELATION WITH THIS VISION, THE LOOKS HAVE BEEN CREATED IN PAIR, TO ILLUSTRATE AN EVOLUTION IN THE LEVELS OF ENERGY, SHOWING THE SHAPES, BEFORE AND AFTER / photo by john londono
