Conlan Normington is a motion designer/hip-hop producer who loves working on graphic, playful and abstract animation using Cinema 4D or After Effects and making obnoxious beats from field recordings.
Conlan’s work aims to find the unique, nuanced and distinct personality for each brand, then communicate it with something completely unexpected.
Over the last 4 years working as a designer and animator at two global branding agencies, Interbrand and FutureBrand, Conlan learnt from some of the best in the field and helped craft new identities for some of Australia’s largest brands. He then moved to the mountains and started freelancing.

- Persian Empire - She Got Confused // He Wouldn't SleepThe music video for Persian Empire’s empire tracks 'She Got Confused' and 'He Wouldn’t Sleep' is an attempt to visualise the confusion and chaos of a breakup. The film is a road trip through the beautiful memories of a relationship building, to the slow decent into the feelings of isolation, frustration, confusion, sadness and everything in between after the breakup. - BBC Two IdentBrief A very unexpected email arrived in the inbox earlier this year. BBC Creative and Superunion were working on a set of new idents to refresh the BBC Two channel’s identity for the first time in 20 years. Collaborating with some of the best studios and talented motion designers on the planet. Somehow, they wanted me to design and animate two of the idents.
