Projects
- Channel 4 WeatherDespite the technological advancements in weather forecasting, the way in which the weather is presented has hardly changed over the last 50 years. I was part of the core team that created an entirely new UI that would work as well offline as it did in traditional formats such as TV, carefully aligning it with the C4 values; an organisation that is constantly moving, transforming, reinventing itself and challenging the expectations of its viewers. I was integral in designing the website, and a
- Three Six Zero GroupThree Six Zero Group is an international entertainment and music management company. After launching in 2007 with Calvin Harris as their first artist, his huge success helped the company gain national stature and led to the signing of artists Chris Lake, Tom Neville and Deadmau5, amongst others. In July 2010, Three Six Zero penned a worldwide partnership with Jay Z’s US entertainment company Roc Nation. I led the design team to build a disruptive brand identity that would reflect its achievemen
- ShoptilityShoptility is a new online shopping platform intended to change the world of online shopping for the better. After being appointed to develop the brand and product experience for this ambitious start-up, I worked with Shoptility to create the brand identity across all digital touch-points, including responsive website and cross-platform, native mobile applications.
- Channel 4 / E4: Beaver FallsE4 commissioned Clusta to create a trio of social media-based games (Beaver Toss, Shave My Beaver and Beaver Kong), loosely based on their newly appointed TV series, Beaver Falls. As the lead designer and illustrator on the project, my task was to visualise an extensive array of characters and the environments they were in. These elements were integral to the success of the campaign, with the online fan base growing from 0 to 25,000 on launch and an overall reach of 250,000 Facebook users.
- Microsoft Windows 8 Soft Array: The Beat Box ChoirIn the run-up to Build Conference 2013, Microsoft ran a developer competition to promote the upcoming release of Windows 8. Clusta went up against 10 other agencies to build an app for Arcade’s Soft Array, a programmable environment made up of 18 interconnected Windows 8 devices. I designed and illustrated the nine integral characters that make up ‘The Beatbox Choir’, whereby the user can sequence sound loops in any order to create their own unique musical composition. The concept went on to take 1st place in the competition and showcased at the prestigious Cannes Lion Awards.
- Cadbury Wispa AirheadsIn 2011, Clusta pitched a series of concepts to Cadbury based around the idea of distraction and temptation. One of the proposed routes were the Wispa Airheads; four mischievous characters intended to feed your appetite for distraction. My task as lead designer was to illustrate the four antagonists and the environments they existed in. Applications included app and microsite designs, packaging concepts, billboards and London Underground ads.
