About me
I'm a typographic artist and designer, working via my own practice, Dotto—an independent design studio + store specialising in type art, visual identity and editorial design. Working with clients in the arts, culture, conscious brands and corporates breaking the status quo. Alongside branding work, I create bespoke type art, both for private commissions and corporate clients. A graphic designer with a wealth of experience, I've worked for leading creative agencies across the UK. Moving from Leeds to London before relocating back to the north at Uniform as lead branding designer. My clients over the years have included big corporates (Channel 4, Royal Academy of Music, and Diagio) to independents and arts organisations including Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Manchester Craft & Design Centre and Quarantine. I love to play with language and I have a unique way with words. My work utilises bold messaging and is often copy led. My work through Dotto has been featured locally and internationally. From Manchester to Milan. I teach and talk. I take part in exhibitions and curate creative events. Additional to my work, I co-launched Ladies, Wine Design Manchester and co-managed for 3 years. LW&D MCR is a non-profit organisation that provides free events, conversation series and workshops for women in the creative industries as a way to champion talent and create space for collaboration and support. I have since co-founded a new project ‘The How’ which will launch in 2021.
