London based Photographer, Visual Artist, Retoucher, Lecturer, and Digital Strategist.
Dean graduated from Central Saint Martins, where he has also taught short courses at the university. He has continued to teach under GUS as a freelance lecturer. Alongside, between 2014-20 he has worked as a fashion photography duo, titled R+D, working with clients such as Converse, FKA Twigs, Sony, Notion, Pat McGrath and Fashion East.
His photography practice has evolved into his art practice. His recent project 'Bears Who Care' approaches sculpture with a softer lens, these artworks are currently sold in Fantastic Toiles (London) and Store Kathleen (LA) (with a majority percentage of sales going towards educational London based charity).
Alongside this, at currently working as a freelance retoucher for Spring Studios.

- Bears Who Care (2020)Bears Who Care (BWC) is a soft sculpture based project built on a craving for care and human negligence, as a physical and honest symbol of repair (in the literal and metaphorical sense). Via repair BWC immortalises disregarded soft toys, inverting, scorching, and modifying them into soft sculptural aretfacts. - Based on a True Story - R+D Solo ExhibitionBased on a True Story is R+D’s reaction and dramatisation of how fear is used to control society. This story is told through 13 horror stories, collectively taking the form of photography, film and object. These stories tackle societal fear and the deconstruction of archaic horror tropes. While paying homage to a genre that is often disregarded, but has a profound legacy and a personal impact upon R+D’s practice. - The Dangerous SummerPersonal Project: a depiction of dystopian Britain, where we now live in a constant heatwave. Deriving from personal experience of society communicating anger towards weather online, and the contrast in taking action to tackle the affects of climate change.
