About me
A hand-knitter at heart, I encourage engagement with textiles in all that I do, from designing, teaching, writing and exhibiting through to online challenges and research; knitting really is for everyone.

    Coat, Wrap, CoverFive local textile designers showcased their work in this one off show, encompassing woven, knitted, embroidered and printed garments and accessories (April 2013).

    #SeptTextileLoveIn the spirit of sharing our love of textiles, seam collective created the annual Instagram challenge #SeptTextileLove in 2017 to engage with textile enthusiasts and professionals alike throughout the month of September. Comments from participants ranged from how excited they were about sharing their love of textiles through to being a little dubious, having never successfully completed a social media challenge before or being nervous about sharing their work and themselves to an unknown audien
  • shiftWorks
    shiftWorksThe shiftWorks project was a celebration of 50 years since the mainstream adoption of the shift dress in 1965. Nine shift dresses were created by nine emerging textile artists/designers/makers creatively exploring their craft, to showcase contemporary textile design. The shift dress became a canvas for their ideas. The project received funding from Arts Council England, South Somerset District Council and Somerset Art Works and was exhibited in 11 venues during 2015-2017. A programme of work
