About me
Dimitri Stangl is a multi-talented Digital Artist, freelancing in Sydney for several years.
His main fields are High End retouching, Finished Art, Packaging Artwork, Photography and Design.
He also includes Flash Animations and Top Level Power Point Presentations to his repertoire. He is just a whiz in all programs he uses.
Working in the print industry for over 25 years, he understands the need of every print-process, and as a trained lithograph and dot-etcher, he can make any picture sparkle.
His photography combined with his retouching skills makes him to a image manipulating creature you won't even find in Greek mythology. He can bring his small studio set up to any place and can convert your board room in minutes into a photo studio for products, portraits, nude shots, you name it.
Projects
- PRIVATE HOUSE SALE - CASE STUDYWhen we where ready to sell our home, we made the decision to sell privately. We put our target price a bit higher just in case we had to negotiate more than expected. We estimated that we saved well over $12.000 by not employing a real estate agent. I photographed interior and exterior images in HDR, designed the sign and the handout brochure, measured and drew the floor plan and made a responsive web-site to work on desktops, pads and smart phones a like. All printed material had a QR Code for easy access to the web-site and more details and information than we could have put on there. I also put the house up on realestate.com.au and domain.com.au, organised the home-opens and my wive and I made the house very presentable, brewing fresh coffee, soft music, slideshows of the house running on TVs and computers and lots of flowers and candles. I negotiated with all potential buyers and we where able to sell the house in a shorter time frame than expected for a much higher price than we where told by real estate agents.
- SHANE WARNE PHOTO SHOOTAfter Art Directing and designing some packaging for a new Shane Warne Cricket Instruction Kit, I was invited to shoot all images I need of Shane for the Instruction leaflet and the portrait for the pack. We hired the North Sydney Oval which was the an iconic back drop for an Australian Icon.
- LIZ JONESLiz Jones is a well known Make-Up Artist in Sydney and is appreciated my Models and Actors worldwide. She worked on sets with top A list celebrities and has a reputation for her attention to detail. Liz Jones decided it is time for her own make up label and approached me to visualise her new cosmetic line.
- ADRIANO ZUMBOAdriano Zumbo is one of Sydney’s most celebrated pâtissiers. An appearance on the first series of Australian MasterChef helped introduce croquembouche to an even wider audience and made Adriano – and Macarons – a household name. I was assigned to Photograph Adriano for his Pack shot. he loved his portrait so much, that he keeps using it for his promotions. When working on the Artwork for all his Baking kits, I retouched all Macarons, Cakes and Brownies to ensure they look most appetising on the shelf. I worked closely with the designer and advised on a colour system for the Griffith Graphics on the pack, and reworked all Illustration, so they match up when the Pack is folded.
