Designer x Researcher (Ph.D)
Joana is a hybrid designer, researcher and educator. For over a decade she runs an independent travelling practice that is people-centred. Her work is dedicated to support the development of products and services that amplify qualities of sustainability, through field research and co-creation methods. On her journey she has collaborated with the likes of, Forum for the Future, Green School Indonesia, Hyper Island, Doi Tung Foundation Thailand, Edacy Senegal.
Currently, Professor of design at CODE University of Applied Sciences Berlin and teaching assistant for IDEO U on design thinking courses. Fellow of Royal Society of Arts UK and resident of systems thinking collective The Point People.
