Hi, I'm Ed. I'm a graphic designer specialising in Illustration, 3D and typography. I’m an ambitious creative; excited by innovative ideas, problem solving ­and visuals.   • Lost Light
    Lost LightPersonal project Completed for the D&AD New Blood Adobe brief. The brief asked designers to communicate some wisdom gained through the medium of three illustrations/posters. The full brief can be viewed here. My response, "Lost Light" challenges the accepted negative feelings towards being emotionally lost.
  • Oxford University Press – Children's Classics redesign
    Oxford University Press – Children's Classics redesignTaught Project I was asked to create a redesign for the books Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin in the children’s classic series by Oxford University press.
  • Song of Crow
    Song of CrowFreelance project Song of Crow is an experimental theatre piece that premiered in Reading over a number of days in 2016. It is a modern take on a classic creation tale of the earth with a darker and meaningful message.
  • InDeeArea responsive website
    InDeeArea responsive websiteTaught project I was asked to produce a website design for activities or events in Reading town. InDeeArea is a platform to discover independent shops near you. It combines search engine functionality with a journey planner to provide an experience that allows the user to plan anything from a day out or a quick trip to town.
  • An Anthology of Decorated Papers
    An Anthology of Decorated PapersTaught project I was asked to redesign the cover and inside pages of "An Anthology of Decorated Papers". As well as creating the cover and sleeve of the book, the task required an organisation of image, body text, captions and footnotes to create a flowing, user friendly and attractive product.
  • Festival of the Dark
    Festival of the DarkFreelance project Festival of the dark is a series of events happening over the course of a year. The festival seeks to question the human relationship with the dark with performance, music, science and social events. I developed the branding and produced a number of promotional materials for the events.
