About me

Hello, I am Edmund Athelstan Pollington. graduate from the University of Essex in Southend studying Graphic Design. It has been a life-long dream and ambition of my mine to be an illustrator; as a kid from Basildon, I have always loved drawing. I would draw all the things that captivated the imagination of most kids. From dinosaurs, comic book characters and real-life inspirational people. I am an artist at heart, and I love to create and tell stories in my work. Now that my work is here, I hope to entice you - the kind viewer, and from this point on I will strive to make that dream a reality.   The Ratman of SouthendThis was a side project I undertook when working on my Coraline project. Layed out here are a series of illustrations compiled as a comic which tell the story of this Urban Myth.

  Ed SheeranThis was a project for a brief that asked for us to create a graphic response against something we hated or disagreed with. I myself looking to be an illustrator and having a hatred for pop music I naturally decided to produce cartoons of Ed Sheeran who in this project is a scapegoat for the wider pop music genre.

  The "secret" lives of catsThis was a summer project that I undertook in the summer to develop my own illustrative and drawing skills. I decided that for a project with this goal in mind I should draw something that I would enjoy drawing. I wanted the project to allow me some breathing room for characterization but I didn't necessarily want to go with the first thing that I could think of.   What the CluckA group project designing a magazine for Nando's employees. This mandala was made by me as artwork for their website. I had to make other small graphics for the website too. The logo was made by the other two students: Milly and Adem. The magazine was a joint work with other three students.
