About me
Hello! I'm EJ and I'm a feature writer and the marketing manager for Canvas Events. I'm the Marketing Manager/Editor-In-Chief/Social Media Person for Canvas Events, and I also contribute to The London Economic, Litro, North Four The F Word and Verbal Remedy as a critic and feature writer. I've written articles on everything from IFRS 17 and Challenger Banking, to How to Plan a Wedding on a Budget and Where to Buy Cheap Wedding Dresses, to reviews for fringe theatre and interviews with intersectional performance artists. My traditional specialism is theatre and events in London, but since getting married in August 2017 I now consider myself an official expert on weddings, too.

  • Wedding articles & the City Bridal Committee
Wedding articles & the City Bridal CommitteeWeddings are a big part of our business at Canvas, and our wedding-related content has steadily been bringing in more users through organic search - it's something our readers want to see as well as our customer base. In January I staged a month-long campaign of wedding content and social memes. Over a third of couples who get engaged over a year will get engaged over 4 days in December, so January is a big opportunity to for us to stand out as an authority at the beginning of the journey towards marriage. We saw our readership on the blog increase by 230%, and our City Bridal Committee newsletter click throughs increase to 8.5%.
