About me

Ele Ward graduated with a degree in Anthropology from The University of Manchester in 2013. It was here that Ele developed her interest in the power of brand as a means of self identification and how they play a crucial role in shaping culture and society. While completing her degree, Ele opened her first business, The Closet, a pre-loved clothing store to educate and inspire conscious consumption. In 2014, she founded Sustainable Hustle, an educational platform and consultancy advocating for change in the fashion industry. Ele soon became a recognised sustainability expert, working closely with key business and stakeholders in the space including, Marie Claire and Berlin Fashion Week. Widening her interests beyond sustainable fashion, in early 2019, Ele joined the U.K founding team at leading sustainability solutions provider Cogo, she rose to Head of Marketing. Launching Cogo into the U.K. and developing a leading brand in the sector. Ele left Cogo in January 2022 having gained expertise in business development and working in early-stage startup environments. Today, Ele is CMO at D2C FinTech app, Ctrl Alt.
