Obtaining a first class honours in Fashion Art Direction and representing culture hubs such as The Face, THIIIRD Magazine, ASBO Magazine and Refinery29, Ella’s adaptability and attention to detail has allowed her to thrive in collaborative and individual projects and environments.
Ella’s curious nature allows her to flourish in situations where she’s proactively looking for new ways to challenge industry norms. Most noticeably, she created and published ‘Woman Up’, a fashion and sports publication exploring women in male dominated sports. ‘Woman Up’ won the Graduate Fashion Foundation Fashion Publication Award 2020.

- Curiously Curious ShowI was on the direction team for our second year fashion show 'Curiously Curious'. My role was creative direction and set design. Loosely based on the Mad Hatter's tea party in Alice in Wonderland, this show was an exhibition of the second year Fashion Design students garments at Manchester School of Art. - Supervising and managing the content, layout and appearance of the magazine. Overseeing photography, design and artwork for all stories.
- Responsible for commissioning and editing all contributors and managing a team of writers, photographers, graphic designers and stylists.
- Generating feature and article ideas and delegating to in house and freelance writers.
- Scouting all fashion graduates and Universities for Issue 13, and curating their work.
- Working closely with fashion Universities, the Graduate Fashion Foundation and Fashion Works to acquire the best quality, exclusive graduate fashion work from across the country.
- Setting briefs for University students, writers, photographers, creative directors.
- Using social media marketing, creating call outs and working with The Graduate Fashion Foundation to reach graduates and Universities.
- Organising meetings with team and artists to discuss ideas for features, layout and artwork.
- Copywriting, editing and proofreading of all features before going to press.
