- Insight MagazineInsight Magazine is Australia's number one lifestyle magazine. It is published monthly and sold at newsagents around Australia. Each issue of Insight Magazine features a different Guest Editor who supplies articles from within their peer group. In addition to the Guest Editor's articles there are articles from authors all over the world and a section of regular features which include nutrition, yoga, travel, tarotscopes, planets and much more. By having a Guest Editor each month Insight is constantly evolving. The design challenge of this magazine was to present a modern yet spiritual message.
- AdvertorialsWorking with IPC Creative allowed me to design across 24 titles of magazines, some of which are pictured here. Advertorials are advertisements disguised as editorial content. Clients mostly consisted of large international brands. The advertorials pictured here were for Freederm, Avon, Ikea, Puma, Ford and Persil.
- Thousand Island Dressing re-brandThousand Island Dressing offers a unique and exotic experience with products sourced from all over Australia and Bali. The stores offer gifts, homewares and jewellery for a range of women. The brand element of peacock outlines of paper leaves, brought a sophistication into the new stores.
- Book cover designKnown mostly for his poetry, E.E Cummings also wrote four books. These books are an autobiographical source into the life of Cummings as a poet, author and artist.The purpose of this fictitious brief was to create cover designs that work as a collectors item to re-establish these forgotten books. The concept of the 'Undead Series' stems from the idea that these books were almost never published and are now being brought back to life. The word 'undead' was also featured in his poetry. Cumming's was known for literary quirkiness and creating new words.The language contained within these novels is quite hard to understand and so the rest of the book needed to demonstrate this. Through a minimalist approach, these contemporary covers hint a theme but do not give it away until the reader takes a look inside.
- Luminaide Pencil PackagingThis was a fictitious brief where Luminaide was to bring out a range of branded art supplies consisting of HB pencils, for home office and school, coloured pencils for students and artist pencils.The packages needed to appeal to both adults and children and be environmentally friendly. This brief was approached with the idea of 'A Renewable, Sustainable Education.' On each package there was some type of puzzle or colouring in to allow for recycling practices but also to exercise the mind.These packages were made of fully recyclable materials that were paper mached. This allowed for longevity of the package as the consumer was less likely to throw them out because the strength of the package allowed for continual use as a pencil box.
- Taboo FestivalTaboo Festival was created to strategically revitalise Stones Corner in Brisbane. It is a fashoin and music festival that will be hosted in conjunction with the Brisbane Fashion Festival. This allows for elements of the current site to be emphasised, ie, fashion. The concept was to question the norm and allow individuals to feel exclusive. The final outcome offers a refined quirkiness to the fashionable, younger audience.
