About me
Who am I? Designer-Maker; I like to muck in! Defined as adaptable, independent, witty and overly organised individual, combined with an ability to think outside the box makes me an asset to any team. I am constantly evolving my skills and pushing my creativity. By evolving my abilities with Adobe software and CAD design I have been able to advance my hand skills to new levels.
Projects

Molley Designs - cement homewaresCreating an online shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MolleyDesigns
  • Exhibiting
Exhibitingexhibiting your work can be pretty scary and overwhelming, without the added pressure of selling your goods to strangers. I think over the last year my table display has got a lot better and I'm hoping it will improve more by the next. It can be really helpful to see what other people have done and also make connections with other creatives it can make that next stall a lot less scary!
  • Leaflets and Business Cards
Leaflets and Business CardsWith fair session coming up thought I would give a refresher to my business cards which led to me also creating some little leaflets. I have always designed my advertising but this was the first time I printed them myself, although the print quality would have been far superior if I had ordered them the cost was much lower!
  • Group Work Youths
Group Work YouthsCreating art sessions for youth groups aged 11-18.
  • Southampton Art Gallery- Changing Faces
Southampton Art Gallery- Changing FacesThis project entailed creating a design that could accomadate two different spaces. One to be designed for a downstairs space that would need space for walk throughs and one in a gallery space. My concept Changing Faces was based on research of Southampton and how it has developed, I was inspired of how the city is blending the new with the old.

    Teacher of CADBarton Peveril College
    Eastleigh, United KingdomPart Time
Teaching computer aided design to students, we mainly work on Solidworks but recently have been using Onshape as well due to lessons being online. I am able to design the content of the course to suit the needs of the students who come from various subjects (art, product design, fashion & textiles, engineering) Many students have different levels of understanding of CAD design so I have to be flexible with my approach, which I find challenging but rewarding.

Currently I create a lot of online content due to Covid, but usually I can be found maintaining and fixing machinery in the workshop or working with students to help them with their projects. I enjoy being part of a team of technicians which allows me to work across a wide range of subjects, as well as being able to organise my work schedule to suit the needs of the students and the college.
