About me
Greetings, my name is Emmanuel Borges-Da-Silva (Eman The Messenger), I reside in London and I’m 24 years old
I am a content creator and spoken word artist who specialises in creating short spoken word (poetry) films. I write and create faith based pieces as well as pieces outside of faith with the hope of changing the narrative of popular culture to something more positive, meaningful and authentic.
I pride myself in all things “creativity” and hope to express the beauty of human experience through spoken word accompanied by the melodies of instruments and/or voices. A mix of poetry and music.
I desire to use my skills as a poet to collaborate and help others with film or music projects to articulate the words that they may not be able to themselves.
I also hope to dabble in writing personalised poems, performing at events such as weddings, birthdays, promotional events, funerals etc.

- Egypt | a spoken wordEveryone has an Egypt. Everyone has old ways that in hindsight were bad for them... Everyone has the urge to go back sometimes... Especially when the new blessings are foreign to us. What if God wanted us to open up and be offered something better than our past pleasurable pains... Something better than our old bountiful bondages. What if our Egypts were destroying us and God was trying to restore us? Based on Psalms 81:10
- Innocence | a spoken wordI filmed and recorded this near the beginning of lockdown with one goal in mind, capture innocence. Lockdown taught me so many things, but the biggest thing of all was how to be a child in spirit again. I went on so many walks and adventures, I have no clue how many miles I racked up �. .But ultimately, these walks and time alone challenged me. I had to ask myself “what does it mean to be an adult?” Because with all the free time we had during lockdown most of us weren’t really “adulting” anymo
