Hi, I am
Evy Olivia Diepenbroek, a Graphic Designer.
I am a dedicated worker who thrives on new challenges. And as they say, working hard pays off. So, at the age of twenty-one, I am a nominated graphic designer with two degrees in Graphic and Communication Design: the last is a bachelor's degree in Graphic Communication from The University of Northampton in the UK. I accomplished this because I was selected for the Masterclass as one of the top students in my first college GLR in the Netherlands, where I studied Corporate Design. Concluded my study years well with a nomination for The Penguin Book Cover Design Award 2022.
Besides studying for the remaining hours of the day, I could not let go of design. So, I have been working part-time as a graphic designer for three years. I started with small jobs for different companies and eventually joined one of these companies, "Berkman". During my internship, I fell in love with the VR and AR sector of graphic design and decided to work for a digital studio called 360Fabriek. But it is time for me to start
my new journey.
Projects
- What the F*ck is Blockchain?You have probably already heard about its Bitcoin, NFTs or Blockchain. On the news, on social media or just in a conversation. It is everywhere. But what does it all mean? People throw around terms such as blockchain, crypto art, ledger, and NFTs and expect other people to understand what they mean. So, I made a magazine explaining the basics of blockchain in the simplest way possible. This work was also displayed at the NewDesigners exhibition in London.
- My Type Of PlaceThis alley is mainly known as the pissing alley, but also as a scary alley where you don’t want to be in the evening. I have highlighted this with all kinds of colourful typography that also refer to the text that is there. With all kinds of jokes about peeing, it is already a nice place for an Instagram story. But when I looked at my target group I saw that most young people who come here find the most important thing in the evening to show where they have been out on social media. I could use
- Dissertation: Narrow Vision of DesignMy dissertation was a big part of my graduation, I chose to make it about the "Narrow Vision Of Design, How new technology is changing the process and psychology of design". a brief introduction to this is this (this can also be read in my desertion): If you look at the design back in the day, it looked very different than it does now. At 360fabriek I worked as a graphic designer and was responsible for the company’s brand identity and social media content. I was not only in charge of that but also did the design for different clients of 360Fabriek. My duties here were photography, video shooting, editing and, of course, graphic design. My book design cover was shortlisted for the 2022 Fiction category, Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo with Penguin Random House UK. Everything was incredible. I have learned a lot and met some fantastic and inspirational people. I am grateful and honoured to have been selected for this.
