I am an experienced Graphic Designer with many years’ experience of designing, building and fixing things.
After graduating in Product Design Engineering from Glasgow School of Art/University of Glasgow I went on to study for my Masters in Multimedia Communication at Paisley University. Since then I have specialised in Graphic & Multimedia Design.
I have worked for both large and small businesses and in multiple sectors including, architecture, consumer electronics with a focus on digital cameras, retail, software and more recently luxury architectural hardware for high end residential.
My training and applied experiences throughout my career so far have provided me with a wide range of skills across design, development and problem solving that I can apply readily in any situation.

- Thomsons Brand BookComplete reworking of Thomsons Brand, bringing the company profile up to date with a fresher, look and feel, and making the brand more approachable, more grown up and look less like a ‘start-up’. This rebrand consisted of a new design language, a new icon library, illustration style and photography style which impacts on all printed and digital media, and all other materials used internally and externally by Thomsons.
- Joseph Giles Photo BookClassy 118 page photo book to promote Joseph Giles. This book was designed as a showcase featuring some Joseph Giles’ most prestigious and glamorous projects showing their high end architectural hardware in situ, in all their glory. An initial run of 5000 copies were printed for distribution to clients, potential customers and to international distributors.

As the sole in-house graphic designer at Joseph Giles my role involved; managing and developing the Joseph Giles brand look and feel, ensuring consistency throughout, responding to the day to day needs of the business, providing support on all marketing projects, product launches and associated collateral.
I also took on the responsibility of IT Manager, providing front line IT support, managing budgets, liaising with IT service providers and providing consultation and advice on IT matters throughout the business.

The Communications department of Thomsons, operate like an agency, producing high quality engagement consultancy, for Thomsons’ clients to help support their benefits communication.
Working among a team of designers and consultants, I was involved with all parts of the process, liaising with clients, taking briefs, creating concepts and producing deliverables, while providing support and training to more junior designers.
I worked on a wide variety of projects from small UK based companies to global organisations, including Boeing, Black Rock, Clydesdale Bank and Siemens, creating brands, delivering finished artwork for print and digital applications and producing animations.
